As you may have heard, we recently visited Big Rock for our team social. At Twenty3c the weekend team rarely overlaps with the week-day team so this was a great opportunity to get everyone together, with some friendly competitiveness mixed in, too.

Our session was led by two fantastic instructors, Brad and Ellie, who provided a comprehensive safety briefing and bouldering induction (including some much appreciated demonstrations on how to fall safely!) Following this we were free to climb independently and channel our inner Alex Honnold. Ollie, the youngest yet most experienced member of the team, led the way and we all attempted to follow in his nimble footsteps with varying success.
‘YOU JUST NEED TO PUT YOUR LEFT FOOT WHERE YOUR RIGHT HAND IS’
Tom followed suit, reaching some impressive heights…
… whilst James experimented with travelling horizontally
Having exhausted the bouldering routes (and our arms) we moved onto climbing with ropes which quickly became competitive as we raced each other up the transparent climbing wall.
All in all a fab evening, despite being a little worse for wear for the rest of the week.
We’ll be back soon!
